On Thursday, the Senate blocked three immigration matters, one of which was backed by President Trump. This left the fate of DACA recipients, or 'Dreamers', up in the air, leaving hundreds of thousands of them facing an uncertain future. The passing of these reforms created a clear path to citizenship for 'Dreamers', in addition to outlining a plan for the construction of President Trump's proposed border wall.
After the legislative failures in the Senate, top White House officials said they plan to turn their attention to the House of Representatives, where Republicans are working on a similar immigration plan that Mr. Trump has also approved. However, if faced with enough opposition, this issue could end up in a stalemate.
